Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Systems Engineer - Level 5 based out of Aurora, CO.
What You’ll get to Do:
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system products to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Maintain existing operations procedures and keep up to date to include lessons learned from real-time performance. Develop new procedures as required. Interface with program and customer personnel.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other STEM related degree with 12 + years of relevant experience; 10+ years with a Master's; 8+ years with a PhD
- Must have an active Top Secret/SCI with Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph clearance at the time of application.
- Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
- Experience working in a software Agile delivery framework leading cross-functional teams.
- Experience with product lifecycles for new and existing products (replacement for must have product development experience).
- Ability to understand wants vs. needs of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience converting technical and business requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories.
- Experience in the use of Java, Python, C, and C++ software languages
- Experience with Test automation frameworks and tools to include but not limited to: Behave, Zephyr, Cucumber, RFT, Robot Framework
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Nexus
- Experience with CI/CD orchestration utilizing Jenkins and GitLab
Preferred Qualifications:
- Detailed familiarity with space system operational documentation
- Have current read on to program for immediate program access
- Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Familiarity with requirements management in Doors and Cameo
- Current CompTIA Security + certification
- Agile Product Owner and/or Scrum Master certifications
