Torch is seeking a Systems Engineer/Analyst to work on cutting-edge Army air and missile defense systems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position involves leveraging end-to-end modeling and simulation of air and missile defense systems along with performing data analyses and software evaluations. Responsibilities include building and executing scenarios to test operational capabilities, performing comprehensive evaluations and performance analyses, documenting system behaviors, and making recommendations to government customers and stakeholders. Proficiency in Python is essential for data analysis. Excellent communication skills are required to effectively present system performance to the stakeholder community. Travel is required to support live fire events. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the success and safety of the warfighter. This position is located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.
As a Systems Engineer/Analyst your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
- Analyze air and missile defense system behavior to identify potential improvements in tactical software, develop future capabilities/improvements, and assist in the creation of operational defense designs.
- Analyze large amounts of air and missile defense data using statistical analysis techniques to determine and communicate system performance.
- Develop Python-based tools capable of parsing, manipulating, and visualizing large amounts of air and missile defense data.
- Create, maintain, and improve existing Python-based post-processing and analysis tools suite.
- Translate complex technical information into clear, high-level presentations and regularly brief findings directly to the customers and stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship.
- B.S. or B.S.E in Physics, Computer Science, Computer Eng, Mech Eng, Aerospace Eng, Math, or Statistics from an ABET accredited university.
- 0-5 years of applicable systems engineering and analysis experience.
- Using Python and Python-based libraries for data analysis.
- Obtain and maintain a DoW security clearance.
Candidates with the following experience are preferred:
- Experience with IBCS, Patriot, LTAMDS, Sentinel, or other Army air and missile defense systems and components (and/or their associated digital representations).
- 2+ years of applicable systems engineering and analysis experience.
- Proficiency in Python or software design.
- Currently possess a DoW security clearance.
