Torch Technologies Inc. is looking for a Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Systems Engineer/Analyst to support the Air & Missile Business Unit. The ideal candidate would have a degree in computer science/engineering or electrical engineering, experience in data analysis and processing, and programming experience in Python, MATLAB, C++ and/or Java. Candidates with experience in data analysis and processing of radar system or simulation data will be given preference.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • In this role, you will perform data extraction, processing, investigation, analysis and comparison of system data to high-fidelity models, simulations data of Army ground based radars and effects models for the radars.
  • You'll provide M&S analytical support for testing events and offer feedback to customers when needed.
  • As a M&S Systems Engineer/Analyst, you will help develop and maintain data reduction and analysis tools, participate in technical interchange meetings, program reviews, integration and test working groups, and support meetings by preparing analyses and reports.

Required Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related field. Master’s or Ph.D. degree preferred.
  • 8 years of experience in data extraction, processing, plotting and analysis.
  • Proficient in Python, MATLAB programming, Windows, Linux and Microsoft Office.
  • Proactive, self-starter and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and produce clear, concise reports and materials.
  • Ability to analyze detailed technical information and develop logical solutions within specified schedules.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and taking on various roles as needed.
  • Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills with team members, leadership, and customers.
  • Active current Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with radar system data and/or radar simulation data.
  • Experience with large data sets and SQL.
  • Programming experience in either C++ or Java.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively brief diverse audiences.

Schedule: M-F; 8-5
