The Industrial Data Infrastructure Engineer will act as a member of the data management team, supporting system maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
1. As a member of the data management team, ensure data integrity, availability, and uptime for enterprise network systems.
2. Support quality investigations.
3. Create data visualizations per customer requirements to improve engineering efficiency
4. Launch new clustered server types on schedule for new line launch
5. Support maintenance by monitoring health of clustered systems or NAS
6. Support middleware issues related to ignition or edge PLC (along with other members)
7. Setup tests, prototypes, or experiments in a lab environment to improve efficiency or quality
8. Will be expected to seek out and suggest training opportunities
9. Lead technical projects, modifications, and kaizen activities
10. Create and maintain documentation for processes including network map and FTA
Preferred Requirements:
- Education:
- 4 year degree related to field (networking, engineering, electrical)
- 2 year technical degree (electrical, mechanical, or industrial) and equivalent work experience
- Qualifications:
- 0-5 years of related experience
- Experience working in hybrid environment with responsibility to operations for network uptime
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent teamwork abilities
- Proficient in MS office
- Able to develop and follow schedules
- Willingness to work periodic overtime and weekends as required
- Proficient in Linux based systems and Kubernetes
