Main Accountabilities

Coordinate product certification activities for all APTIV CS product lines.
Act as the main interface for certification and regulatory compliance topics towards customers, authorities, and certification bodies.
Coordinate certification requirements with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams.
Manage KBA approvals and support E-type approval processes.
Lead CE conformity activities, including the preparation and issuance of EU Declarations of Conformity.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and directives, including LVD, EMC, and RoHS requirements.
Review technical documentation and assess product readiness for certification and market approval.
Coordinate and lead product safety and regulatory risk assessments.
Support development teams on regulatory, product safety, and compliance requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
Serve as the subject matter expert for product certification, product safety, and regulatory compliance.
Support manufacturing plants during audits, inspections, and regulatory assessments.
Drive continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and best practices within the global compliance community.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in product certification, regulatory compliance, and CE marking within the automotive or electrical industry.
Knowledge of EU directives (LVD, EMC, RoHS) and international standards (CE, UL, E-Mark).
Understanding of product safety requirements and risk assessment methods.
Experience working with certification bodies, test laboratories, and regulatory authorities.
Familiarity with KBA approval processes and E-type certification preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in an international environment.
Automotive industry experience and knowledge of Automotive SPICE.
Fluent in English; German is an advantage.
