For our Service & Support team in Nehren we are looking for a "Systems and Service Specialist (m/w/d)" focusing on our molecular diagnostics instruments (InGenius, BeGenius, GenoXtract, FluoroCycler, etc.).

Aufgaben/Verantwortlichkeiten

The position is designed to provide expert application support and training for instruments, software, and test kits, ensuring effective implementation and use of molecular diagnostic systems by customers.


Tasks are:

  • Providing service support for Molecular Diagnostic (MDx) instruments installed at R&D facility (including repair, service, PM and installations).
  • Providing on-site and remote service support for MDx instruments installed at customer sites (including repair, service, PM and installations) when required.
  • Support the in-house repair of MDx instruments.
  • Creation and maintenance of test documentation, service notes, validation and training materials, including processes for on-site repair.
  • Quality improvement of hardware, software and firmware in collaboration with R&D and suppliers.
  • Maintaining of OQ/PV routines and SOPs.
  • Support for final inspection, incoming goods inspection and technical activities.
  • Participate in service training for MDx instruments for internal staff and external partners.
  • Engaging with suppliers to ensure quality supply of instruments and spare parts and for technical support and change control.
  • Ensuring availability of calibration equipment for all MDx devices.
  • Creating and maintaining PC images for devices.

Qualifikationen
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent technical college qualification) in electrical engineering, or medical devices technician with experience in biotechnology and physical engineering.
  • Hands‑on experience with molecular diagnostic instruments in a laboratory setting would be a significant advantage.
  • Experience with CRM Service tools for reporting and task management
  • Good knowledge of LIS (Laboratory Information Systems) and Lab IT infrastructure to ensure seamless instrument integration and remote connection
  • Strong communication and presentation skills including good teamwork and organizational skills

  • Professional and confident demeanour when interacting with customers

  • Problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role

  • Strong technical aptitude and interest in IT-related topics.

  • minimum B2 level in written and spoken German and English

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

  • Valid Class B driving licence

  • Some hybrid working is possible as agreed with manager
