The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is looking for a System Administrator to provide ongoing support to ensure the continued operations, maintenance, and evolution of the Homeland Secure Data Network (HSDN) and the Classified Local Area Network (C-LAN).

We are searching for a qualified candidate to bring their troubleshooting and organizational skills to maintain rugged edge networking solutions in support of key principals within the DHS organization. The ideal candidate will have a background in Cisco networking and preferably Juniper experience as well.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support DHS Classified IT infrastructure data, voice, and video systems.
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve networking events and tickets, as well as update and configure equipment while maintaining a configuration management process throughout the systems life cycle.
  • Provide remote operations and administration as well as some local on-site maintenance as required in support of secure voice, data, and video services.

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • Must possess current/active US Top Secret Clearance for consideration.
  • Must be willing to obtain SCI.
  • US Citizenship required

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters degree with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with ticketing systems, Active Roles and Configuration Manager.
  • Desire to work in a diverse, dynamic, and demanding work environment, with the capability to work both independently and with internal/external teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, with a focus on Customer Engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A+ Certification, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or equivalents.
  • Experience providing support to VIP customers.
  • DHS or other government contract experience.

Pay Range:Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
