About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our IT team in Irving Texas. This role is ideal for a well-rounded IT professional with a background in infrastructure, Systems Engineering and Administration, with 10+ years of experience who is looking for software technology company that’s growing and expanding globally.
In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day management, maintenance, and support of our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong technical background across both Windows and Linux environments, along with experience supporting cloud services and cybersecurity best practices.
Provide design and development of cloud server environment, make recommendations for technology and products, provide maintenance and support
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain environment of 200+ Cloud Based Windows and Linux Servers, Azure Servers, SQL Server, IIS, Windows and Linux environments.
- Support and manage cloud-based systems, especially Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Cloud Platforms/Server Automation
- Provision hardware and configure software to fulfill the needs of development and other departments while conforming to IT security and configuration standards.
- Managed installation, configuration, and upgrades of Windows and Linux servers in virtualized and cloud environment
- Implement and support Web API integrations.
- Support hosted server including configurations, maintenance and security updates.
- Upgrade, install, and configure application software and hardware systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide end-user support across the organization.
- Administer system permissions and manage user accounts and access controls.
- Requires customer calls supporting tickets.
- Maintain internal networks and network file systems.
- Oversee website functionality, monitor and optimize connectivity, and support server hardware/software deployment.
- Track, escalate, and follow up on technical issues with third-party service providers.
- Conduct regular security assessments and monitoring activities.
- Strong understanding and experience with Security Operations including certificates and private keys
- Stay informed and ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
- Able to administer Server Compliance.
- Perform routine audits and ensure reliable backup and disaster recovery processes.
- Able to work with offshore technical teams, Techs and DBA's
Qualifications:
- 7 to 10+ years current experience as Systems Engineer, Administration
- 2 + years' experience in leadership role is a plus!
- Minimum 7 to 10 years combined experience in Windows, Linux, cloud based.
- Experience working in a 100% cloud server environment
- Work with Global Teams; Systems Admins, Engineer and IT Managers
- Proven experience in systems administration, ideally at a mid-senior level.
- Strong expertise in Windows and Linux server environments, Install and Configure in cloud
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Experienced with PowerShell Scripting
- Familiarity with web integrations, API implementation, and IIS management.
- Knowledge of network administration, cybersecurity practices, and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
- Cloud Server Security.
- Background in Networks and Systems Engineering a plus
- Travel: 20% travel as needed to client sites in the US.
Certifications are a Plus
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- CompTIA Security+
- Linux+
- ITIL or equivalent
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
