Leidos is seeking a Systems Integration and Test Engineer to support the Alaska Automation Capability (AAC) and Future Flight Services Program (FFSP) contracts with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role serves as a member of our test team and is responsible for integrating and testing software that provides flight planning and other services to the pilot community.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to verify software functionality, performance, and compliance with requirements in an Agile environment.
• Debug system level issues and provide detailed supporting data on identified issues
• Document and track system defects and verify fixes
• Able to understand System Level Requirements
• Learn system architecture, design, functions and capabilities to support the integration and test of the new capabilities and enhancements
• Perform system checkouts in physical and virtual test labs to ensure system is properly configured and ready for testing.
• Execute manual and automated regression test procedure after software modification
• Execute manual and automated adaptation regression procedures every 26 and 56 days
• Execute manual and automated patch regression procedures monthly
• Work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 8+ years of professional experience; or 6+ years of professional experience with a related master’s degree
- Ability to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer.
- Experience in following a documented Integration and Test Development Process
- Experience in the use of UNIX and Linux operating systems
- Strong integration skills with hands-on experience integrating large software complex systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interface with internal and external customers
Desired Skills:
- Air Traffic Control and Flight Service Experience
- Transportation Solutions engineering process experience
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
