Leidos is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Integration and Test Engineer to support the Alaska Automation Capability (AAC) and Future Flight Services Program (FFSP) contracts with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role serves as a core member of our test team and is responsible for integrating and testing software that provides flight planning and other services to the pilot community.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the FFSP system engineering team to develop functional test approach for new and modified requirements
• Able to understand System Level Requirements and perform system interface checkouts
• Analyze identified issues in conjunction with System Engineering and Software in regard to developing solutions
• Learn system architecture, design, functions and capabilities to support the integration and test of the new capabilities and enhancements
• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to verify software functionality, performance, and compliance with requirements
• Debug system level issues and provide detailed supporting data on identified issues
• Document and track system defects and verify fixes
• Perform testing in Physical and Virtual test labs to ensure the system, test procedure, and test inputs are prepared to execute with the customer present
• Execute manual and automated test procedures that verify the system is properly configured
• Coordinate activities, communication, and planning efforts with FAA and Leidos personnel
• Perform formal test execution with the customer and Quality Assurance organizations present
• Demonstrate test execution to the FAA on a run for record to achieve customer acceptance of the content per release
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• Be able to support travel
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 9+ years of professional experience; or a master’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 7+ years of professional experience.
- Ability to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer.
- Experience in following a documented Integration and Test Development Process
- Experience in the use of UNIX and Linux operating systems
- Strong integration skills with hands-on experience integrating large software complex systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interface with internal and external customers

- Air Traffic Control and Flight Service Experience
- Transportation Solutions engineering process experience
- Experience testing with the FAA
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
