Our Rockrimmon site in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Systems Engineer to help define, document, maintain and improve the core manufacturing systems driving our operational excellence, including MES, LIMS, and SPC. This role catalyzes the link between operations requirements and system capability/scalability to enable data-driven operations across the site.
What You’ll Do:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document business requirements for new and existing software systems.
Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Assist in the design and validation of system flows, user interfaces, and data structures.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation including process maps, user stories, test cases, and procedures.
Support software testing (UAT) efforts by defining quality criteria, executing test plans, and tracking results and issues.
Consistent and direct engagement with users to ensure system capabilities are fully understood and utilized.
Keep manufacturing systems running smoothly by resolving a wide range of issues, evaluating identifiable factors to devise effective solutions and continuous improvement opportunities.
Run materials management processes to identify opportunities for improvement and identify consistent issues. Create reports and methodologies to help team reconcile errors between MES and SAP efficiently.
Partner with global teams to help evaluate solutions and support the implementation of new digital capabilities at the site.
Help to build custom reports and user interfaces to enable operational execution.
Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements.
What We Seek:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field with 1-3 years of experience. Internship and co-op experience will be highly considered.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with software development life cycles (SDLC) and quality management systems (QMS).
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Experience with ERP system (SAP Preferred).
Experience with ERP, MES, SPC or LIMS systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Desire to learn, ask questions, and enable collective success.
Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Experience with Camline, Ignition, Critical Manufacturing, Sample Manager, SAP
Previous experience in manufacturing operations and/or a manufacturing operations support role (i.e. manufacturing planning, industrial engineering, materials management)
Understanding of data modeling and basic SQL is a plus.

Compensation: $75,000-$90,000/dependent on experience.
