The Role

Overview
As a System Engineer (SE), you will play an important role in the technical integration of sub-systems in one system in close collaboration with all stakeholders and will be responsible for the technical system documentation. Especially, you will be the technical interface and main driver for systems engineering including the creation of system-requirements and sub-system architecture in the designated requirements management tool.
Responsibilities

  • Driver for system engineering and system integration of all sub systems in one system to ensure full functionality in close collaboration with all stakeholders.
  • Create system requirements, system architecture and system variants in the designated requirements management tool
  • Especially ensure that system requirements are derived from customer needs (Use Cases) in close collaboration with PM's (Product Management), agreed with all stakeholder in the project and managed throughout the project lifetime.
  • Technical key account for suppliers and internal stakeholder
  • Provide input for technical decision / direction and coordinate technical topics related to system
  • Maintain and manage system BOM (bill of materials) evolution throughout the project including variant management
  • Lead troubleshooting, system analysis, bug fixing process and take care, that documentation is improved / updated
  • Manage technical change process and system impact analysis
  • Be a mentor and trainer for Requirements Management Tool
  • Support customer relevant documentation & development of a product & tech roadmap
  • Support Sub-System & component documentation, in close collaboration with technical departments
  • Support documentation of quality, certification & functional safety related topics
  • Support test team creating the test documentation and product validation plan on system level


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3 years of professional experience in the field of Systems Engineering and/or Requirements Management.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with product development of mechatronic products.
  • Proficient in English and German.
  • Proficient with MS Office and familiar with Requirements Management Tools (e.g. DOORS)
  • Experience with communication technologies, e.g. CAN, BLE, etc. and common analysis tools.
  • Exceptional communication, teamwork and relationship skills.
  • Ability to maintain high level of organization and good understanding of timelines
  • Hands on / Makers Mind-set, motivation and constant drive to improve.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Enthusiasm for cycling is a plus
