GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
American Equity Life Insurance company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented System Administrator II specializing in BlackLine and Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud Service (TRCS). The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of these systems and other third-party systems that interface with the ERP. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
**This position is based out of West Des Moines, IA and will need to work an on-site hybrid schedule**
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oracle TRCS Administration:
- Administer Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud Service (TRCS) to support tax provisioning and compliance processes.
- Ensure the TRCS environment is configured correctly, including managing user roles, security settings, and workflow processes.
- Collaborate with tax and finance teams to ensure TRCS integrates seamlessly with SAP financial systems.
- Oversee the implementation of new features and updates, including testing and deployment.
BlackLine Administration:
- Serve as the primary system administrator for BlackLine, managing user access, roles, and permissions.
- Maintain and optimize BlackLine modules such as Account Reconciliations, Transaction Matching and Task Management, ensuring all mappings and configurations stay up to date.
- Provide support for end-users, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and training.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinate with the finance team to ensure that BlackLine aligns with company policies and financial reporting needs.
- Manage BlackLine updates, patches, and enhancements in coordination with DevOps procedures and practices.
- Research, deploy and train for new enhancements and functionalities not yet adopted in the organization.
System Integration and Support:
- Support the integration of BlackLine, Oracle TRCS and other third-party SaaS applications that interface with the Enterprise Resource Planning tool, SAP S4/HANA, ensuring data flows accurately and efficiently.
- Work closely with IT and finance teams to resolve system issues and implement improvements.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including procedures, workflows, and training materials.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree Information Technology, plus two (2) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- A minimum of 2 year experience working as an administrator of Oracle TRCS and/or BlackLine .
- Experience working with SAP S4/HANA and other third-party applications such as Concur, GTreasury, and UKG is preferred
- Insurance industry experience working with Life and annuity products and principles is preferred
