The Role

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients – which means some of the biggest in the world.
There’s never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.
 

Responsibilities:

• As a part of this service, System Administrator will carry out OS Management tasks on regular basis. Operating system support for Linux, Windows operating systems and Middleware.

• OS Installation, updation, Configuration, Up-gradation, Patch Management, Hardening, User management, audit compliance, load monitoring, OS tuning, Log monitoring in collaboration with Bank’s Monitoring team etc.

• To carry out regular preventive maintenance as well as preventive maintenance as and when required by the Bank.

• Creation, Maintenance, mounting, un-mounting of File Systems

• Attending and Closing IS Audit/ VAPT observations IS Audit/ RBI Audit/ISO audit / VAPT/ Secure Configuration Document (SCD) points /CISO observations etc in coordination with Bank’s application team and Server Patch management team. Vendor is required to provide experienced resources for finding and fixing known vulnerabilities and bugs reported by CISO, Security team and Internal Auditors.

•  Space Management, Performance Monitoring in collaboration with Bank’s Monitoring team, BIOS/Firmware/Patch level/version upgrade& service pack updates & control.

• Check for Server logs for failures and take corrective steps.

• Check the threshold values and any breach and its cause/reason.

• Before OS upgradation, detailed Plan of Action need to be submitted to Bank.

• Preparing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for all System Administration & OS

• Upgradation activities & handing over to Bank’s team.

•  Coordination with different application teams for troubleshooting of OS related issues.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• System Administration Activities (Linux/Windows) with a minimum of 5 years of experience and relevant domain certification

• Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019 implementation and management.

• VMware ESX experience

• Public/private cloud management. Especially migration from onprem to cloud solution

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Automation experience, especially IaaS (infrastructure as a code)

• Linux Certification-RED HAT

• Vulnerability management

• Microsoft Active Directory and federation services
