Who we are
Apollo, a Skyward Group company, is an innovation-inspired insurance platform operating at Lloyd’s of London, delivering data-driven and creative solutions across a broad range of risks.
Our name reflects our origins. Inspired by one of our founding investors, Neil Armstrong, the first person to walk on the moon, the business was built with the same pioneering mindset. Alongside Jim Hays, Neil set out to create a different kind of Lloyd’s platform, focused, agile and built around people.
Since launch in 2009, we have grown into a diversified insurance group offering products across Property, Casualty, Marine, Energy and Transportation, Specialty and Reinsurance, alongside Smart Follow and digital and embedded risk programmes. Our experience and unique ecosystem give Platform Partners the best chance of success, from navigating the Lloyd’s new entrant process through to the delivery of their long-term strategy.
With a team of more than 300 professionals, we continue to grow with purpose, combining underwriting excellence, innovation and collaboration to enable a more resilient and sustainable world.

Your Role

Working closely with the Syndicate Reporting Manager and wider Finance team, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely production of Syndicate Report & Accounts, Solvency UK (SUK) reporting, Lloyd's returns, and external stakeholder reporting.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant with Lloyd's market experience to further develop their expertise within a broad reporting role, gaining exposure to regulatory change, reporting process improvement, and engagement with stakeholders across Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Data Solutions, external auditors, and capital providers.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver Syndicate Report & Accounts, coordinating inputs from stakeholders across the business and managing reporting timelines.
  • Produce quarterly and annual Solvency UK (SUK) Quantitative Reporting Templates (QRTs), ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and submit Lloyd's regulatory returns, including Quarterly Monitoring Returns (QMAs), Realistic Disaster Scenario Returns (RRAs), US Situs reporting, and other required submissions.
  • Support external stakeholder reporting, including reporting packs for capital providers and other external parties.
  • Act as a key contact for external auditors, coordinating information requests and supporting the smooth delivery of audits.
  • Contribute to the development of technical accounting papers, process documentation, and reporting controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and technology utilisation, working alongside the Data Solutions team to implement efficiencies.
  • Support wider finance and regulatory reporting activities as required.
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience producing Lloyd's market regulatory returns, Syndicate Report & Accounts, and Solvency II or Solvency UK (SUK) reporting.
  • Strong understanding of general insurance accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Experience working within the Lloyd's or London Market insurance sector.
  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification, or currently studying towards qualification.
  • Experience producing management information, financial reporting, or performance reporting within a general insurance environment would be beneficial.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills, including advanced Excel capability and experience using Power Query.
  • Experience working with finance systems, general ledgers, finance data warehouses, and reporting tools.
  • Exposure to SQL, Q&A, or similar data extraction and querying tools would be beneficial.
  • A proactive approach to process improvement and reporting automation.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business.

What you’ll get in return
We offer a competitive and thoughtfully designed reward package that reflects the value of our people. This includes a fair and attractive salary, discretionary bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package - including 31 days’ annual leave, a non-contributory pension and private medical insurance.
