Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).
You will be a C++ member of scrum team working together to deliver high quality software for Base Transceiver Station. The team applies good development practices using e.g. STL, Design Patterns, new C++ standards. The team member is responsible for requirements analysis, implementation (both code and MT/SCT test cases) and execution. - Have overall responsibility of specified entities (e.g. features)
- Plan, design, develop and maintain items in own area
- Coach other team members in solving basic engineering problems
- Solve complex engineering problems of own technology area
- Participate in reviews of own or neighboring projects
Your skills and experience
We are looking for people with:
- Strong C++ programming skills and solid proficiency in object-oriented design
- 2–4 years of professional, commercial experience in C++ development
- Experience in designing, developing, and testing C++ software
- Good knowledge of design patterns
- Strong analytical skills
- Expertise in algorithm optimization, code profiling, and memory usage analysis
- Experience in embedded software development
- Hands-on experience with communication interfaces
- Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git
- Experience with code review tools such as Gerrit
- Knowledge of build automation tools, e.g. CMake
- Experience in writing and executing unit tests (GTest)
- Experience with SW SCT framework and test development
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g. vibe coding)
- Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
It would be nice if you also had:
- engineering, telecommunications, computer science or software technology or an equivalent education
- experience with SW development methodologies (Agile, SCRUM)
- knowledge about cellular and broadband access technologies
