Who We're Looking For

The Senior Vice President of Sales, Americas, is a key leadership role responsible for driving growth by leading a high-performing team of sales leaders and professionals across the region. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, this role is accountable for developing and executing innovative go-to-market strategies, delivering on key business metrics, and regularly presenting business performance in alignment with corporate growth objectives. The SVP partners closely with cross-functional teams—including Product, Solutions Engineering, Finance, Sales Support, Marketing Operations, Legal, and HR—to ensure alignment on sales contracts, product fit, technical feasibility, and strategic value delivery in line with the company’s solution-selling approach. This is a senior management position with direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for overall Revenue, Direct Profit, New Business, and Retention, performance by aligning sales and account strategies with organizational objectives, accelerating account growth, and cultivating new customer acquisitions to achieve business goals.
  • Develops, implements, and continuously refines processes, tools, and organizational structures that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of sales operations.
  • Directs the goal-setting framework for all levels of the sales organization, leveraging advanced data analytics and technology to monitor performance, diagnose challenges, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Builds robust capabilities to analyze market dynamics, assess competitive landscapes, and implement strategies that strengthen customer retention and fuel customer base expansion.
  • Partners cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to identify emerging market needs and spearhead the innovation and development of new products and solutions.
  • Leads or negotiates high-value, strategic sales opportunities, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and long-term business growth.
  • Represents Syniverse at key industry events to showcase products and services, foster relationships with industry stakeholders, and maintain awareness of evolving market trends.
  • Champions a unified, proactive account team model to deliver exceptional customer support and maximize the impact of Syniverse’s account management resources.

Experience, Education and Certifications:

  • 20+ years in technology sales (solution sales approach), including progressive leadership roles with direct management of account sales representatives
  • Must have performed direct selling and account management responsibilities for relevant major accounts in telecommunications
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent job-related experience), MBA strongly preferred

Additional Requirements:

  • Relevant software industry experience in any of the following IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management, application development and management, security, business applications and/or analytics. Subscription, SaaS, or Cloud software experience is mandatory.
  • A proven track record of consistently maintaining a robust sales pipeline that supports/exceeds revenue forecast
  • Skilled at business planning and diligent at measuring and communicating progress towards the plan, identifying roadblocks, and coming up with appropriate solutions.
  • Highly professional persona and polished demeanor. Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective at delivering executive level presentations.
  • Travel required for this position is 50-75%
