• As the SVP, Operations Unit Manager you'll lead a unit of Production Managers overseeing teams responsible for the pre-purchase review of correspondent residential mortgage loan files to ensure that the file contains all required documentation, meets acceptable regulatory standards, and complies with established guidelines prior to purchase. You'll drive your team to achieve productivity and quality goals. You'll constantly analyze current process for ways to increase productivity and quality while cutting costs.- Manage departmental service levels, production and quality standards.
- Monitor SLA, quality, and pipelines, while providing applicable reporting.
- Apply theories and concepts to interpret data, provide analysis and observations, and recommend related initiatives and solutions.
- Create and present relevant information (trends, accomplishments, opportunities, etc.) as needed for management meetings with peers and superiors.
- Lead and develop a team; responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development.
What you'll need:
- 7+ years of related experience in Mortgage Operations or similar field.
- Bachelor's degree in related field required.
- Previous leadership experience required.
- Advanced Knowledge of residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending; including sales, operations, capital markets and/or other residential mortgage products and services.
- Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Intermediate to advanced experience mortgage software (Encompass).
- Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
- Occasional travel required.
