Job Summary:
Masimo is seeking a results-driven and collaborative SVP, Marketing to lead our global marketing efforts and drive continued growth in the medical device and healthcare technology industry. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will develop and execute marketing strategies that elevate Masimo’s brand, deepen engagement with healthcare professionals, and expand our market presence worldwide. In this senior leadership role, you will work cross-functionally to position Masimo’s noninvasive monitoring technologies and hospital automation solutions at the forefront of the industry—leading high-impact campaigns, optimizing digital and traditional channels, and ensuring alignment with our mission to improve patient outcomes and reduce the cost of care.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Marketing Strategy Execution: In partnership with the Chief Commercial Officer, develop and implement integrated marketing strategies that enhance Masimo’s market position, accelerate revenue growth, and increase adoption of our healthcare technologies.
- Brand Development: Strengthen Masimo’s brand equity by highlighting our pioneering role in medical technology innovation, reinforcing trust with healthcare providers, hospitals, and patients.
- Product Marketing & Commercialization: Lead go-to-market strategies for medical devices and hospital automation platforms, ensuring successful product launches and sustained market penetration.
- Digital & Traditional Marketing Execution: Oversee the development of multi-channel campaigns, including digital marketing, healthcare conferences, clinical publications, social media, and direct outreach to hospitals and healthcare providers.
- Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis: Lead data-driven decision-making by leveraging market research, healthcare trends, and competitor insights to inform marketing strategies; surface actionable recommendations for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Clinical teams to align marketing efforts with Masimo’s product development roadmap and commercialization strategy; provide the CCO with regular updates on cross-functional progress and key dependencies.
- Thought Leadership & Advocacy: Champion Masimo’s leadership in patient monitoring, pulse oximetry, and hospital automation through strategic partnerships, educational initiatives, and clinical marketing campaigns; collaborate with the CCO to identify and advance external thought leadership opportunities.
- Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering creativity, collaboration, and operational excellence; manage day-to-day team operations while developing talent pipelines aligned with Masimo’s growth objectives.
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
8–12 years of progressive marketing leadership experience within the medical device, healthcare technology, or life sciences industry.
Previous sales leadership experience also required
Proven success in B2B healthcare marketing, including experience marketing to hospitals, clinicians, and healthcare systems.
Strong understanding of FDA regulations, medical device compliance, and healthcare industry standards.
Expertise in product commercialization, clinical marketing, and brand development within the healthcare sector.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing cross-functional marketing teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated ability to engage clinicians, hospital executives, and regulatory bodies; comfortable operating in a matrixed organization and influencing without full authority.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in digital health, remote patient monitoring, and AI-driven healthcare solutions.
Knowledge of hospital purchasing processes, group purchasing organizations (GPOs), and integrated delivery networks (IDNs).
Demonstrated success in scaling marketing programs and expanding into international or regional healthcare markets.
Experience in crisis communication, public health campaigns, and clinical advocacy.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Compensation + Benefits: The anticipated range for this position is $365,000 - $400,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. This position also qualifies for up to 35% annual bonus based on Company, department, and individual performance. Physical requirements/Work Environment
This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities.
