GENERAL SUMMARY:

The SVP of IT is a strategic leadership role responsible for the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide IT infrastructure and security services. This includes oversight of telecom, compute, Azure cloud services, end-user computing, IT security, and application integration. The SVP will serve as a key liaison between IT and business units, ensuring technology solutions align with organizational goals and drive operational excellence.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Leadership & Business Alignment

  • Partner with executive leadership to align IT infrastructure and information security strategies with business objectives.
  • Represent IT in enterprise-wide initiatives, M&A integrations, and digital transformation programs.
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year technology roadmap that supports scalability, security, and innovation.
  • Lead the exploration and integration of AI and machine learning technologies to enhance IT operations, automate anomaly detection, and optimize infrastructure performance.

Infrastructure & Cloud Services

  • Oversee the architecture, implementation, and support of all infrastructure services, including data centers, networks, servers, storage, and cloud platforms (primarily Microsoft Azure).
  • Drive cloud maturity strategies, ensuring cost optimization, performance, and resilience.

Telecommunications & End-User Computing

  • Lead the design and support of enterprise telecom systems (voice, data, connectivity, and mobile).
  • Ensure a seamless, secure, and productive end-user computing experience across devices and platforms.

IT Security & Risk Management

  • Ensure enterprise-wide information security compliance, resilience, and risk mitigation.
  • Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning for infrastructure and security services.
  • Lead the maturity and governance of:
    • Single Sign-On (SSO) and Identity & Access Management (IAM)
    • Web content filtering and secure web gateways
    • Network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
    • Endpoint protection (MDR/EDR)
    • Vulnerability management and patch lifecycle governance
    • Third-party/vendor IT security assessments
    • Email security (anti-phishing, spam filtering, encryption)
    • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and incident response

Application Integration & Engineering

  • Guide integration architecture and strategies to ensure interoperability across enterprise applications.
  • Support DevOps and automation initiatives to streamline deployment and operational efficiency.

Operational Excellence

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of infrastructure, cloud, security, and integration professionals.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics to ensure service quality and continuous improvement.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service delivery for infrastructure and security services.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

Experience

  • 15+ years in IT leadership roles, with at least 5 years in senior infrastructure and information security management.
  • Proven track record managing enterprise-scale infrastructure and cloud environments.
  • Experience overseeing telecom, compute, end-user computing, Information security, and application integration.

Technical Expertise

  • Deep hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and hybrid cloud strategies.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking, telecom systems, and end-user platforms.
  • Proven experience with IT security frameworks (e.g., NIST), compliance standards, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in enterprise IT security services (as listed above).

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, CISSP, or ITIL are desirable.
  • Proven track record managing enterprise-scale infrastructure and cloud environments with Azure.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Primarily located in office environment
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight (up to 10%)
