Position Summary:

The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Financial Lines is responsible for the strategic leadership, production, and overall performance of the Financial Lines division (including D&O, E&O, Cyber Liability, FI, EPL, etc.). The SVP will drive the development and execution of business strategies, manage key broker relationships, and collaborate closely with senior management to ensure alignment with the company’s growth and profitability goals. The SVP reports directly to the Senior Advisor and is a key member of the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the strategy for Financial Lines offerings, ensuring competitive, innovative product solutions aligned with market trends and company objectives.
  • Oversee the production and underwriting of Financial Lines business, setting targets and monitoring performance to achieve sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and other external partners to expand distribution and strengthen the company’s market position.
  • Provide leadership and direction to Financial Lines staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, high performance, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management on business planning, product development, financial forecasts, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor market developments, emerging risks, and regulatory changes, adapting strategies as needed.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, meetings, and events, communicating the firm’s vision and strengths.
  • Drive operational efficiencies and best practices within the department to maximize client satisfaction and profitability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field; advanced degree or professional designation preferred (CPCU, RPLU, etc.).
  • Minimum 12 years of experience within financial lines insurance, with a strong background in underwriting and business development.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing teams and developing talent.
  • Demonstrable track record of building broker/market relationships and delivering profitable results.
  • Deep knowledge of Financial Lines products, market dynamics, and regulatory environment.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • High integrity, collaborative spirit, and entrepreneurial mindset.
