Description
This position is for a Staff Cyber Systems Engineer to support the Sustainment team on the Ground Based Mid-Course Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) program. The candidate should have experience taking on progressively challenging responsibilities, demonstrating initiative, and driving innovative solutions. They should be recognized as a self-starter with a proven ability to lead teams, learn quickly, and deliver results in dynamic environments.
This is not a telework/remote position.
Basic Qualifications
12 Years with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
Experience installing and troubleshooting GWS fielded systems for Cyber and operational conditions.
Ability to troubleshoot end-to-end GWS functions between installed systems to maintain system security and operations across system interfaces.
Primary POC interface internally and externally accountable for the PA IDT system cyber security posture including subcontractor flow down and design solutions
Subcontractor deliverable owner to responsible for the review, feedback and approval of the subcontractor design solution compliance to their technical specifications (RMF & NIST controls) and alignment into the Prime design solution
Responsible for TEMPEST requirements comprehension and flow down to subcontractors to include design/data owner
Responsible for ensuring Authority to Connect (ATC) & Authority to Operate (ATO) data artifacts are provided by the subcontractors:
ACAS Scan(s)
SCAP/SCC/Eval STIG Scan(s)
Completed STIG checklists
Hardware list
Interconnect Diagrams for assembly
Software List (SBOM)
Network Config Files
Ports, Protocols, Services List
SAST Code Scans
Product Baseline Design (CDR) Material
POA&Ms for allocated controls
Patch Plan
Letters of Volatility
Experience using DOORS.
Experience using Atlassian Tools.
Familiar with Agile terminology and best practices.
Security + Certification
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the DoD secret level; and a minimum of an interim secret clearance will be required to start.

Skills Required

- Ensure subcontractors provide ATC & ATO artifacts (ACAS scans, SCAP/SCC/Eval STIG scans, completed STIG checklists, hardware/software lists including SBOM, interconnect diagrams, network configs, ports/protocols/services, SAST scans, POA&Ms, patch plan, letters of volatility)
- Experience using DOORS
- Experience using Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
- Familiarity with Agile terminology and best practices
- Security+ certification
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance (minimum interim Secret required to start)
- Experience with Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESA)
