Sustainability Engineering Intern - Summer 2025

The Role:
Our site in Billerica, MA is seeking a/an Sustainability Engineering Intern to join our team for the Summer 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 12-14 weeks in duration.
The intern will perform a combination of hands-on, laboratory based work as well as computer-based research on alternative chemistries, industry trends, and government policy.

What You’ll Do:

• Safe laboratory practices
• Handling of chemicals - experience preferred.
• Evaluation of process conditions in a lab setting
• Chemical analytical techniques and testing (eg, spectroscopy, thermogravimetric...) - experience not required.
• Literature and web-based searching
• Critical data review
• Analysis and report writing
• Presentation skills

What We Seek:

• At least one year of undergraduate college experience in environmental science or engineering, chemistry, chemical or mechanical engineering, materials science or related field.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

• Experience working in a chemistry lab
• Interest in sustainability
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent teamwork, ability to work with partner or group

• Mechanical engineering
• Materials science
• Related science or engineering field
