Our client in the Oil and Gas sector in Accra is
seeking a Sustainability Advisor to play a key role in driving
sustainability initiatives and practices within the organization. The
successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing
strategies, programs, and policies that enhance environmental stewardship,
social responsibility, and economic resilience. The role requires strong
expertise in sustainability frameworks and the ability to engage stakeholders
at all levels to promote a culture of responsible business practices.
· Conduct sustainability and materiality assessments, including stakeholder engagement, to identify key issues and priorities.
· Monitor, analyze, and report on sustainability performance metrics (environmental, social, and economic).
· Lead sustainability reporting in line with global standards (e.g., GRI, SASB) and stakeholder requirements.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into business processes, products, and services.
· Engage internal and external stakeholders, including employees, investors, and communities, to communicate goals and impacts.
· Provide sustainability training and awareness programs to employees, suppliers, and partners.
· Conduct lifecycle and environmental impact assessments to identify opportunities for efficiency and conservation.
· Identify and manage sustainability risks and opportunities, and develop actionable strategies.
· Stay updated on emerging sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices, ensuring continuous improvement.
· Integrate sustainability considerations into HSSEQ systems, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s
or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental
Management, Natural Resources Management, Business Administration, or related
field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in
sustainability management or related roles.
- Professional certifications in
sustainability (e.g., CSR-P, GRI) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sustainability
principles, ESG criteria, and reporting frameworks.
- Demonstrated
experience in strategy development, assessments, and stakeholder engagement.
Skills Required
