We are looking for a talented Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join our team specializing in Finance for our Finance Department in Accra, Ghana.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Ensure the timely collection of outstanding accounts, reducing aged debt and improving overall cash flow for the business.
- Monitor and oversee collection activities, supporting effective negotiations with past-due customers to minimize financial risk and maximize recovery.
- Deliver accurate and insightful reports on receivables, receipts, account balances, and collection performance to support data-driven decision-making.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend changes to methods and procedures that enhance operational efficiency and strengthen controls.
- Maintain compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to financial governance requirements.
- Foster strong collaboration with internal stakeholders and customers, building positive relationships that support successful account management and customer satisfaction.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Strong accounting knowledge and attention to detail to accurately process customer payments, prepare statements, post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with accounting policies and US GAAP requirements.
- Analytical and financial problem-solving skills to interpret financial data, investigate account variances, identify payment trends, conduct root-cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
- Effective communication and customer service skills to respond to customer queries professionally, support collection activities, and communicate financial information clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities to manage multiple priorities, including PO management, reconciliations, reporting, and month-end activities while consistently meeting weekly and monthly deadlines.
- Risk management and process improvement expertise to identify internal control gaps, assess business process risks, strengthen compliance, and implement improvements that enhance operational efficiency and financial accuracy.
Education/ Experience
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent related work experience required.
- Intermediate level of relevant professional work experience in the field of study required, including some supervisory experience.
