Surveillance Supervisor

The Surveillance Supervisor oversees staff responsible for monitoring casino activities via CCTV to prevent theft, fraud, and other illegal activities, ensuring compliance with state and company regulations. This role involves partnering with the Director of Surveillance to develop and enforce security policies and procedures, as well as documenting and reporting incidents, violations, and suspicious activities to management. The Surveillance Supervisor reports directly to the Director of Surveillance.

• Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
• Ensures the highest possible standards of guest service are provided and listens and responds to guest and Team Member concerns and questions.
• Responsible for protection of North Fork Mono Casino & Resort gaming assets.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Security Department.
• Ensures the operation of a 24-hour, 7 day a week Security Operation to provide timely response to routine and emergency situations.
• Participates in the reporting and directing of safety issues.
• Conduct thorough internal or external investigations and submit recommendations to the Security Director.
• Ensures all Team Members are complying with Enterprise policies, and procedures.
• Provides security guidance at all levels in both routine and non-routine situations, exercise discretion, and independent judgment.
• Approves and reviews departmental reports.
• Prepares and develops budget recommendations.
• Manage and supervise department Team Members, overseeing hiring, training, development, and separation process.
• Supervises and leads Team Members to successfully meet management directives.
• Assists in developing and administering training programs for the Surveillance Department Team Members and develops and administers applicable training programs for all Team Members.
• Reviews all incident reports and provides statistical data to Casino Management.
• Takes necessary enforcement action for violations of Tribal, State, and Federal laws.
• Investigates vehicle accidents or guest service concerns regarding accidents or safety concerns/incidents.
• Maintain and develop strong community relations with law enforcement agencies as necessary.
• Verify that all Security team members are providing excellent guest service.
• Administer the timekeeping system for all Security personnel.
• Assist the Security Director in analyzing and recommending changes to staffing levels.
• Conduct background checks for security personnel.
• Oversee performance evaluations and provide leadership direction for supervisors.
• Maintain good communication and foster a positive, professional work environment.
• Contribute to overall team efforts and departmental results.
• Attends, and satisfactorily completes, all required training as assigned and required.
• Manages and maintains security of confidential information entrusted to position.
• Develop, implement and oversee all security and safety programs.
• Establish staffing patterns to promote optimum utilization of all personnel.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

• Expertise in investitive procedures and techniques, including data gathering, evidence collection, and reporting.
• Comprehensive understanding of relevant policies and procedures as they apply to the gaming and security industries.
• In-depth knowledge of all in-house gaming devices, systems, and associated operational mechanics.
• Proficiency in fraud detection and prevention methods and technologies.
• Familiarity with effective supervisory techniques, including team leadership, performance management, and training protocols.
• Skilled in the operation, maintenance, and data retrieval of surveillance equipment and systems.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
• Effective problem-solving ability, adept at addressing concrete variables and making sound judgments in dynamic, non-standardized situations.
• Proven capacity to interpret and apply diverse instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Strong analytical skills, capable of evaluating complex information and preparing detailed, professional reports.
• Resilience and adaptability when working in a stressful, fast-paced environment.
• Highly proficient in operating business computers and standard office machinery, including expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in casino surveillance or casino security.
• Two (2) years of experience in a lead or supervisory level position.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management in both written and verbal form.
• Must certify in the use of a baton and approved chemical guard.
• CPR/AED Certification required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
• Must not have been convicted of any crime for which registration is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• All work is performed on site in Madera, CA.
• Requires manual dexterity to perform job related functions.
• Ability to sit, stand or walk for the duration of their shift.
• Ability to bend, carry, climb, crawl, crouch, grasp, kneel, lift, pull, push, reach, sit, stand, or stoop during or for the duration of their shift.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs. with or without assistance.

Team Members will be in constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests. Work includes the maintenance and care of the assigned work area. Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in a confined area. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. Work may be scheduled at various hours, including working overtime, and during evening, weekends, and holidays. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Work is performed outdoors and can involve continuous exposure to high and low temperatures, sunlight, wet surfaces and noise.
