About the Role
The Core Network Infra Support Engineer ensures the stability, performance, and reliability of cloud-native 4G/5G core networks. You will collaborate with operations and design teams to troubleshoot complex issues, manage lifecycles, and optimize network solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operations: Support cloud-native and virtualized network functions (CNFs/VNFs) across environments.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolve incidents via end-to-end analysis of cloud, network, and application layers.
  • Analysis: Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and document technical knowledge bases.
  • Change Management: Execute upgrades, patches, and expansions following quality standards.
  • Automation: Use Kubernetes and CI/CD tools to deploy and optimize network workloads.
  • Collaboration: Work with R&D and design teams to validate fixes and solutions.
  • Observability: Improve monitoring (dashboards, logs, metrics) for early fault detection.
  • Support: Participate in on-call rotations for high-priority incidents.
  • Documentation: Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and configuration baselines.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with hardware vendors for troubleshooting and replacements.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Telecom, or related field.
  • Linux/Networking: Hands-on experience in Linux admin, IP routing, firewalls, and DNS.
  • Kubernetes: Proficiency in K8s orchestration (pods, services, config, logs).
  • Monitoring: Experience with distributed systems using Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stacks.
  • Scripting: Ability to write Python or Bash scripts.
  • Problem Solving: Structured approach to incident handling and RCA.
  • Communication: Strong written and spoken English for global collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Mobile Core: Understanding of 4G/5G concepts (AMF, SMF, UPF, MME, SGW, etc.).
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with VMware, OpenStack, or Public Cloud.
  • Protocols: Knowledge of SIP, Diameter, HTTP/2, SCTP, and Wireshark.
  • Operations: Experience in 24/7 support environments.
  • Certifications: CKA, CCNA/CCNP, or Cloud Provider certifications.
