What You'll Be Doing
As part of our technical support team, you will:
- Install and commission machine vision systems at client sites.
- Configure sensors, IP cameras, lasers, network switches, LED lighting, and low-voltage power supplies.
- Assist with software installation, XML configuration, and ongoing system maintenance.
- Provide client training and handovers for first-line support.
- Monitor and troubleshoot deployed systems remotely.
- Diagnose hardware, software, networking, and data integrity issues.
- Resolve OPC communication and sensor-related faults.
- Work closely with client IT teams on infrastructure planning and network connectivity.
- Develop troubleshooting procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve support efficiency.
- Deliver exceptional technical support and build strong customer relationships.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2–4 years' hands-on experience in electronics, instrumentation, or field engineering.
- Experience with networking infrastructure and hardware troubleshooting.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
Highly Desirable
Experience working with any of the following:
- Mining or minerals processing environments
- Industrial field support services
- PLCs
