In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and completing the delivery of goods to WCB business units, as well as providing courier services to external partners, including Iron Mountain, the Alberta Records Centre, Government Courier, and the Provincial Court.

Your responsibilities:

  • Process incoming shipments of materials and products, including material handling and inspection.

  • Receive items in liaison with Purchasing and Finance using Ivalua technology.

  • Deliver goods to business units within WCB buildings.

  • Operate equipment including electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, and rolling ladders.

  • Transport and distribute incoming, outgoing, and interdepartmental mail, as well as materials between WCB buildings and external clients.

  • File documents at the Provincial Law Courts on behalf of Legal Services in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry, ensuring information is complete, up to date and organized.

  • Respond to urgent and unscheduled requests for the delivery or pick up of equipment, supplies, and materials as needed.

  • Enter parcel information from the mail centre into the Canada Post Express Post system.

  • Provide support across the mail center, print services and records management.

Your experience and skills:

  • High school diploma with recent experience in shipping and receiving, ideally in a similar environment. 

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license. The successful candidate will be required to provide a current driver’s abstract demonstrating a safe driving record.

  • Experience safely operating equipment such as battery-operated pallet jacks.

  • Comfortable using computers and basic software, including Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft programs, for efficient and accurate data entry.

  • Working knowledge of Ivalua or similar procurement systems is considered an asset.

  • Physically able to safely lift and move items up to 70 lbs.

  • WHMIS/TDG certification are assets.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, manage time effectively, and work independently with minimal supervision in a busy environment with tight deadlines.

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing operational requirements.

  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Salary:  $45,414 to $50,463 per annum (Salary Grade 4)

This position requires you to work in-person at our Edmonton downtown office. Final candidates are required to undergo a security clearance as a condition of employment.
