Job Summary

Oversees inventory and supply planning responsibilities for assigned plants and/or co-packers. Maintains capacity plans, production schedules and/or finite schedules to ensure the efficient delivery of inventory, service and cost objectives. Responsibilities may also include inventory stock transfer/replenishment responsibilities. Works with Data Management Organization (DMO) on high-priority projects. Completes master data maintenance in support of the business process. Provides supply planning expertise to the commercialization of new products or resolution of key inventory shortage issues.

Position Responsibilities

Customer Supplier Relations and Product Delivery

  • Accountable for successful collaboration with Customers and Suppliers to prioritize and deliver products and services that meet or exceed the business needs with attention to simplicity of design and ease of use/interaction.
  • Develop detailed understanding of manufacturing constraints and capabilities of the manufacturing locations being planned.
  • Communicate with production facilities and Omaha Supply Chain team as well as Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning and Customer Service. Keep all affected parties apprised of potential problems or issues impacting the business.
  • Oversees inventory and supply planning responsibilities for assigned plants and/or co-packers.
  • For some locations/plants, responsibilities may also include inventory stock transfer/replenishment responsibilities.
  • Utilize CAG systems to proactively identify and communicate key drivers and proposed solutions to service and inventory issues
  • Collaborate with DP and deployment to translate S&OP forecasts to SKU-DC level supply plans.
  • Leads Master Data collection & maintenance in support for Supply Planning inventory/production objectives.
  • Creates reporting and metrics for various audiences.
  • Works with the Data Management organization to gather requirements for reporting and metrics that support business objectives.
  • Identifies and researches Master Data issues that interfere with business performance and processes.
  • Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to management and other business functions.
  • Work with marketing to ensure promotions and new item launches are successful
  • DRP planning and management

Analysis

  • Studying, interpreting and developing thorough understandings of problems and opportunities.
  • Assess current inventory levels and forecasts to make appropriate business decisions that minimize costs and achieve corporate working capital and service level objectives.
  • Develop detailed understanding of manufacturing constraints and capabilities of the manufacturing locations being planned
  • Track plant/business performance (KPIs) to the established supply chain plan.
  • Identifies ways to improve supply planning processes and tools for assigned areas.
  • Track and reconcile weekly/monthly metrics versus established targets
  • Support annual planning process for designated brands/plants

Change Leadership

  • Presentation of findings that drive understanding, alignment and informed decision making.
  • Provide leadership and direction for business team on matters regarding supply chain, forecasting, production planning and development.
  • Identifies ways to improve supply planning processes and tools for assigned areas.
  • Lead by example, in supporting CAG Operating Principals
  • Supports Master Data Creation for New Product Launches

Design

  • Engineer tactical and strategic solutions that withstand the variability inherent to the business
  • Analyze long-term production capacity and develop annual capacity planning models showing planned production, projected inventories capacity utilization and available capacity by month.
  • Set-up and maintain SP systems to facilitate efficient inventory management, customer service, and operational metrics
  • Participate in process improvement efforts

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Finance or related field.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills and technical knowledge.
  • 2+ years supply chain, demand planning, or operations experience.
  • Experience in and/or exposure to S&OP processes and procedures, customer planning and / or supply planning
  • Exposure to Master Data Elements and ConAgra DMO processes preferred
  • Experience with supply planning software; knowledge of SAP APO a plus
  • APICS certified (American Production Inventory Certification Society) a plus.
  • Experience in SAP, BW/BI preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills preferred

Compensation 

Pay Range:$64,000-$95,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
