Summary
· This job is responsible for planning in WOM and Novanta plants
General Tasks
· Responsible for both shopfloor planning and long-term capacity planning to ensure delivery dates (OTD) and to be aligned of all manufacturing capacities
· Maintain manufacturing orders in SAP
· Coordinate activities with manufacturing~, purchasing~ customer service~ and logistics department
· Communication with external partners, booking external service plans in SAP.
· Coordinate transfer/launch activities
· Maintain all master-data related to planning process
· Weekly / monthly presentation of outcomes to management
· Timely escalation in the event of deadline and quantity shifts and initiation of suitable and economical countermeasures
Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies
· Understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and MRP II
· Experience with capacity planning tools and techniques
· Ability to balance short-term shopfloor planning with long-term strategic capacity planning
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional coordination
· Experience in stakeholder management and conflict resolution
· Analytical skills
· Ownership Mentality: takes full responsibility for planning outcomes, from order creation to on-time delivery, and drives actions to meet targets.
· Proactive Problem Solving, ability to anticipate potential production or supply chain issues and take preventive actions before they escalate.
· Continuous Improvement Mindset, actively seeks opportunities to improve planning processes, reduce lead times, and enhance efficiency
· Knowledge of SAP
· Excellent knowledge of MS Excel
· English language communication level is a must, German knowledge is an advantage
