Job Description
You secure excellence in total Supply Chain operational performance, and its further development, in close cooperation and alignment with all relevant supply chain stakeholders. You contribute to reaching customer perceived availability at the lowest total cost.
Your main assignments as Supply Operations Development Manager:
• Lead and manage the team to secure total logistical operational performance from end-to-end perspective as it is defined by respective set of KPIs and PIs within given market & range scope. Act on deviation on volume and article dimension together with the team
• Coach and develop Supply Operations Developers and secure the right headcount and competence of people in the team. Responsible to build a diverse team with different competences
• Lead in a way that IKEA culture and values become and everyday reality
• Represent Supply Operations to secure and develop optimum logistical operational performance in collaboration with IKEA supply chain stakeholders, as well as create preconditions for smooth and efficient deliveries
• Support the Supply Operations Manager in Market Operations Forum. Proactively search for improvement potentials in mutual cooperation, contribute to create understanding within supply chain regarding mutual expectations, needs and preconditions with total cost in mind. Lead Emergency Group Teams on behalf of the Supply Operations Manager
• Be responsible for the implementation and evaluation of new routes and follow-up the performance in collaboration with all concerned supply chain stakeholders
• Secure the execution of market-relevant plans. Responsible for the execution of Manage Supply Imbalance Process (e.g. confirmation of capacity) in collaboration with IKEA supply chain stakeholders. Support the team to identify and define constraints as well as secure the right action plans for continuous improvement
• Support the Supply Operations Manager in the preparation of the Market Operations Forums and stakeholder meetings. Take the lead in meeting Purchasing Development and CFF
Internal
• Support continuous improvement of internal working methods. Secure compliance in the team and performs regular spot checks within the supply chain
Qualifications
It comes natural for you to act as an IKEA ambassador when communicating and interacting with your stakeholders. You have the ability to build relations and to work with different stakeholders in a trustful way.
To be successful in this role we believe that you are passionate about leading and developing others, and that you have the capability to lead both business and people to secure the success of your team.
For you to be successful in the role you need to have:
• previous experience in leading others
• a university degree in logistics, economics or other relevant background and worked at least 1-2 years with logistics/supply chain processes
•experience in logistical performance and developing of win-win throughout the entire supply chain
• experience in implementation of decided concepts, working methods and tools
• the capability to build fact-based business cases in close cooperation with relevant stakeholders and find win-win-solutions within the supply chain
• good presentation and communication skills and the capability of building effective and trustful relationships
• you always strive to reach goals with a high level of energy and motivation and are confident to make independent decisions
• you enjoy interacting with many different people and networks and always have the customer and cost in focus
