Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Daily Operations - Oversee logistics activities for an assigned book of customers, ensuring accurate shipment entry, scheduling, and execution.
  • Forecast & Plan Customer Needs - Proactively plan “1 Week Out” to anticipate shipping demands, minimize disruptions, and maintain service efficiency.
  • Handle Shipment Execution & Exceptions - Manage updates, reschedules, late reason codes, delivery exceptions, and audit large LTL shipments (≥7 skids or ≥7,000 lbs.).
  • Customer Communication & Relationship Management - Serve as the primary point of contact, providing proactive updates, resolving issues, and delivering a high level of service.
  • Billing, Audit & Afterhours Coordination - Ensure accurate billing references, resolve discrepancies with Freight Audit, submit afterhours tickets, and close out unbilled reports.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

Experience

  • 2+ years in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations
  • Experience with logistics systems (e.g., MercuryGate, customer portals) preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Strong data entry accuracy and operational execution skills Personality Traits

Additional Information

Pay/Benefits/Perks

  • $22-$24/hr
  • Accrue up to five days PTO in first year. Two-weeks vacation, plus one week PTO accrue on first anniversary.

Skills Required

  • 2+ years in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations
