Job Description

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to own and optimize end-to-end supply chain and logistics operations, enabling business growth and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This role combines strategic planning (S&OP) with hands-on execution across logistics, inventory, and cost management in a fast-paced global environment, offering the opportunity to work in a global environment with cross-functional stakeholders.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) 
  • Lead and facilitate the S&OP process to align supply capabilities with market demand.
  • Coordinate closely with suppliers and forwarders to ensure reliable, cost-efficient, and on-time delivery (including Just-in-Time (JIT) operations).
  • Identify risks in supply-demand balance and propose actionable solutions.
  1. Inventory & Cost Management
  • Manage inventory levels and logistics-related costs, driving continuous cost optimization initiatives.
  • Conduct regular inventory reconciliation and ensure accuracy between physical assets and financial records.
  • Partner with the Finance team to establish standard costing based on logistics data and resolve freight billing discrepancies.
  • Reconcile inventory and troubleshoot daily supply chain issues.
  1. Logistics Operations & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade requirements, and relevant environmental/logistics standards.
  • Utilize ERP and digital tools to manage and analyze inventory, production, and distribution data to identify supply-demand risks and drive informed decision-making.
  • Investigate logistics issues (damage, delays, discrepancies etc.), manage insurance claims, and implement preventive measures to improve reliability.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience in import or supply chain operations.
  • Knowledge of Export Control Classification documents and international logistics processes.
  • Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. 
  • Analytical Skill and Hands-on mindset
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office / Google Workspace (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Business-level English (TOEIC 700+ or equivalent) and native-level Japanese.
