The Supply Chain Quality Engineer will conduct inspections on raw materials and finished goods, perform qualification activities, compile statistical data, prepare test reports, and report quality issues to management. The role also involves setting up quality tests, performing audits, designing quality processes, and assisting in production and warehouse tasks as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving Inspections for raw materials and/or finished goods.
  • Perform in-process inspections for manufacturing.
  • Perform qualification (PPAP, First Article, etc.) activities and ensure products are compliant with all company, regulatory, and legal standards.
  • Set up and perform multiple quality tests.
  • Accurately compile statistical data as necessary.
  • Prepare reports on test results.
  • Define problems and report all quality concerns to management for analysis and disposition.
  • Learn multiple production and warehouse processes.
  • Design Quality Processes, Work Instructions, and Control Plans.
  • Perform internal audits for receiving and/or manufacturing.
  • Design calibration processes and perform calibration activities.
  • Assist with complaint investigation activities.
  • Assist with production and warehouse processes when Quality needs are slow.
  • Perform other research or related activities as deemed necessary.
  • Work may require individual to enter areas where performance factors such as: heat, humidity, noise, lifting of materials, and working around equipment will be encountered.
  • On the job training is received in specialized areas.
  • Proper PPE is provided and required in specialized areas.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Quality or Metrology role.
  • Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and the ability to apply them in manufacturing and warehouse environments.
  • Profound desire to create, develop, and improve processes.
  • Exceptional visual awareness and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Proficiency in using and maintaining test equipment.
  • Understanding and interpretation of 2D drawings and Blueprints.
