Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Analyze data and manage stock to meet demand while preventing overstocks, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
- Monitor and control stock at plants and manufacturers to optimize capacity, reduce costs, and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Use forecasting tools such as SAP, JDA, and Excel to manage orders and predict future demand based on business needs.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and commercial teams to align business goals with budget and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Develop and update optimization tools to streamline planning processes, minimize unnecessary movements, and improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present reports on stock levels, forecasts, and operational performance to support data-driven decision-making.
- Coordinate production planning and logistics to align production volumes with customer demand and safety stock levels.
- Lead initiatives to prevent overstocking and enhance storage, stock rotation, and transportation plans, maximizing handling capacities.
TACTICAL PLANNING
Use Supply Chain and Inventory Management techniques to develop production and transportation plans ensuring high service levels at low cost.
Identify & implement relocation flows to guide master planning Forecast all flows and stocks with the IT Supply Chain Tools.
Produce optimal network location and capacity. Build optimal supply plans
Deliver scenario and contingency planning framework
FORECASTING
Collaborate with sales management team to gather field intelligence regarding customer ordering behaviour
Participate in monthly reviews of demand forecast with Sales, Sales Finance, and Planning managers and directors
Maintain customer forecast profiles Produce optimal network location and capacity.
STRATEGIC PLANNING
Be an essential part of the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process in all its stages.
Manage use of CHEP optimization tools to deliver accurate data & reporting.
Track outcomes of short term planning & budget to forecast demand, depict trends and assess variances
Complete ad hoc analysis as required
Identify short, medium and long term opportunities for company direct cost saving and assess their potential impact
Profile
Bachelors degree, Bachelors Science degree on engineering discipline (preferable) or demonstrated equivalent experience in SC Planning Analysis.
Ideally : Knowledge of CHEP, JDA, Power BI, SAP, Blue View
At least 3 years business experience in Supply Chain Management in a manufacturing environment (Production Planning / Logistics Planning / Procurement Planning / Network Optimization)
Advanced experience in Supply Chain Management tools (JDA Manug./ SAP APO, etc.), either as a user or consultant.
Experience with S&OP and with Sales Forecasting and demand planning
Language: Italian, English
Computer: Strong Excel Skills, SAP (ERP + BW / BI) , JDA, Power Query, power BI.
Personal: flexible; collaborative ; problem solving; comfortable working in international environment; strong analytical skills, strong communication skills
