Job Description:
The Supply Chain NPI Program Manager, Power Conversion & Power Electronics, is a program leadership role responsible for driving supply chain readiness for Nextpower's newly acquired power conversion business and future power electronics growth. Based in Nextpower's Madrid office, this position will lead programs to qualify and onboard new vendors, establish local EU contract manufacturing capability, and support new product introduction from prototype through production ramp. Over time, the role will also lead supply chain integration activities for M&A in the power conversion and power electronics business.
Lead supply chain NPI programs for power conversion and power electronics products from prototype through pilot builds, production release, and ramp.
Build and manage program plans covering supplier qualification, material readiness, CM readiness, quality, cost, schedule, capacity, and risk.
Qualify, select, and onboard new vendors with sourcing, engineering, quality, finance, legal, and compliance stakeholders.
Establish and scale local EU contract manufacturing capability, including process flow, test strategy, tooling/fixtures, quality controls, documentation, and ramp plans.
Partner with engineering and product teams to align sourcing and manufacturing strategies with product roadmaps, technical requirements, and customer commitments.
Drive supplier and CM readiness reviews, track open actions, escalate risks, and communicate status to cross-functional and executive stakeholders.
Develop supply base for PCBAs, semiconductors, power modules, magnetics, enclosures, cables, thermal components, electromechanical assemblies, and test equipment.
Improve cost, lead time, localization, resilience, and scalability through regional sourcing, dual sourcing, value engineering, and capacity planning.
Proactively manage supply chain risks including shortages, quality issues, capacity constraints, compliance, logistics, tariffs/trade policy, and geopolitical dynamics.
Ensure supplier and CM compliance with Nextracker quality, ethical, sustainability/ESG, traceability, and EU regulatory requirements.
Lead supply chain workstreams for future M&A due diligence and post-acquisition integration, including suppliers, CMs, contracts, inventory, systems, and processes.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, NPI program management, sourcing, operations, or manufacturing program management.
Mandatory: Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken), other European languages are a plus.
Proven experience launching new products and scaling production with contract manufacturers, preferably in EU or global electronics environments.
Strong knowledge of supplier qualification, vendor onboarding, manufacturing readiness, quality gates, and production ramp processes.
Experience with electronics, power electronics, power conversion, renewable energy, industrial equipment, automotive, energy storage, or related technical industries.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex cross-functional programs and influence engineering, sourcing, quality, operations, finance, suppliers, and senior stakeholders.
Strong analytical, negotiation, risk management, executive communication, and problem-solving skills.
Availability to be based in Nextpower's Madrid office and travel to suppliers, CMs, and business sites across Europe and globally as needed.Fluency in English required; Spanish language capability strongly preferred.
Experience with inverters, converters, power supplies, power electronics assemblies, solar equipment, or energy systems.
Experience supporting M&A integration, supplier base integration, or post-acquisition operational transformation.
Familiarity with EU manufacturing localization, regional sourcing, and electronics compliance requirements such as CE, RoHS, REACH, ISO 9001, and IPC standards.
Strong familiarity with ERP, PLM, supplier collaboration platforms, dashboards, and program management tools.
PMP, ASCM/APICS, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification is a plus.
Willingness to travel up to 30% within Europe and globally.
