Position Overview: We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Supply Chain Manager to lead initiatives focused on standardizing and optimizing the scheduling function across our supply chain network. This role will also be pivotal in building the infrastructure required to support current and future capacity needs, as well as owning the on-time delivery (OTD) performance and driving root cause analysis for past due orders. The ideal candidate will combine a strong analytical mindset with hands-on supply chain experience and a passion for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement standardized scheduling processes across multiple North American sites
- Identify and drive opportunities for optimization in scheduling, including evaluating and implementing advanced planning and scheduling tools.
- Collaborate with planners, schedulers, and operations teams to streamline workflows, reduce manual touchpoints, and improve scheduling efficiency and reliability.
- Monitor and improve key scheduling metrics such as adherence, utilization, and lead time.
- Build scalable infrastructure and frameworks to manage and forecast capacity across the supply chain.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to assess current and future capacity constraints and develop mitigation strategies.
- Partner with operations, engineering, and demand planning teams to align capacity plans with long-term business needs.
- Support scenario planning and what-if analysis to evaluate the impact of demand shifts, new product introductions, and changes in manufacturing strategy.
- Own and improve on-time delivery (OTD) metrics across manufacturing and fulfillment operations.
- Lead root cause analysis for past due orders and develop corrective and preventive actions to address systemic issues.
- Partner with customer service, production, and planning teams to ensure proactive management of orders at risk of delay.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership on OTD trends, risks, and improvement initiatives.
- Lead change management initiatives to ensure adoption of new tools, processes, and technologies.
- Train and mentor team members and stakeholders on best practices in scheduling, capacity management, and order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, scheduling, engineering, or operations in a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience leading and developing a team
- Demonstrated experience in implementing standardized processes and driving automation initiatives
- Strong knowledge and applicable experience in capacity planning and scheduling
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions, pivot tables, and data analysis tools
- Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Proficiency in supply chain software, ERP system with an emphasis on MRP (Dynamics 365 experience is a plus)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to address challenges proactively
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Engineering
- A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus, but not required
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, scheduling, or operations.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing standardized processes and driving automation initiatives.
- Experience with ERP and APS systems (Dynamics 365 is a plus)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of capacity planning, constraint management, and manufacturing processes.
