Brady Corporation is looking for a Supply Chain Manager (SCM) for our Engraving Solutions business, which includes our Brady and Gravotech brands. This individual owns material flow for Pittsburgh (Cranberry Township) operations including sourcing (direct and indirect spend), procurement, production planning, and the physical movement of material from the warehouse to the production floor. The SCM will be responsible for inventory (including excess/obsolete), supplier management, and cycle count processes.
This in office position will perform as a manager of people to coordinate the activities described above. The successful candidate will define and set clear Supply Chain Strategies and direct the work of key sourcing, procurement and planning personnel in support of the business objectives while also influencing the work of those personnel who do not directly report to him/her.
Preferred Qualifications- Manage supplier relationships, SAP planning data, cycle count process management, shipping and receiving practices, and contract terms
- Partner with marketing to support commodity requirements
- Support sourcing in supplier selection and contract negotiations while focusing on agreements for frequent deliveries and short lead times
- Reduce inventory levels strategically while maintaining high service levels, margin achievement, and an absolute inventory accuracy of 95% or higher
- Administer standards and procedures for Supply Chain Department
- Manage the material delivery system from raw material warehouse to manufacturing floor as well as finished good pickup
- Lead the divisional supply chain strategic planning efforts for the Americas with an emphasis on PQPR (Part Quantity Part Routing) and PFEP (Plan for Every Part)
- Set safety stock and own product forecasting
- Drive and own the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process
- Collaborate cross functionally with Product Managers and Engineers on the NPI (new product introduction) process
- Execute a portfolio of projects to reduce Inventory investment(s) and costs for materials and products used in and by business units
- Generate Net Purchased Cost savings on materials and products
- Negotiate cost reductions for key raw materials or re-sale products, and work to implement Supplier Quality and Performance Management processes within the supply base
