JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary

  • This position leads, develops, implements and continuously improves a best-in-class supply chain organization for the country/ region. Overall responsibilities include managing demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, freight and distribution and customer service. Also, controlling the budget & spending of HK supply chain including 3PL management and monitoring the performance and training needs of the team and fulfilling the team aspiration and on job training requirement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Fully responsible for the supply chain operations in the country/ region
  • Provide leadership and partner with key stake to drive process improvement and meet business demands in some or all of the following functions: demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, freight and distribution and customer service
  • Redefines systems, processes and organizational structures in order to maximize supply chain efficiency and financial savings
  • Develop strategies for improving operation efficiencies while improving service levels and optimizing inventory levels as well as operation costs
  • Cooperate with local management for all initiatives implementation in the country/ region
  • Collaborate with other functions such as sales/marketing, finance, RA/QA and IT to intergrade business process and develop solutions
  • Prepare inventory, scrap, operations cost forecasts and budget recommendations for management
  • Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to demand forecasting, inventory processes/operations; measure actual performance against goals on regular basis and present results to senior management
  • Develop employee in relations to training, performance management, career development and employee relations;
  • Provide leadership by assigning goals which align to entity annual plans and department needs then manage team to execute goals through coaching and mentoring.
  • Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Create and maintains departmental reports and track Key KPI as required
  • Ensure compliance with established procedures and maintain effective internal control over supply chain processes
  • Develop and implement supply chain policies, procedures/SOPs and ensure 100% compliance
  • Apply continuous improvement tools to identify and eliminate the root causes of issues that may arise within the warehouse including managing corrective action
  • Participate in teams, committees, events and training which improves the organization

Requirements: Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent. An advanced credential, such as an MBA, MA, or MS in a relevant discipline/concentration is also typical. 
  • Typically 10 plus years of progressively more responsible materials work experience or a related discipline. 
  • A minimum of 8 plus years of demonstrated experience at a supervisory/managerial level.
  • Has multi-disciplinary knowledge with significant expertise in regulatory requirements for Medical Device 
  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of and be completely familiar with applicable Hong Kong regulations,
  • Comprehensive extensive experience in managing project teams or equivalent. 
  • Must be skilled at delegation, follow-up, and team building. 
  • Comprehensive verbal and written analytical/problem solving, communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills are essential. 
  • Documented record of delivering research information that adds value to management's decision-making process. 
  • Advanced personal computer skills including spreadsheet, word processing database management, and specialized applications.
  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model preferred.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.  
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
  • Business level English communication skills required.
