Who we are

Neros is a defense technology company rebuilding America’s drone industrial base. We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale. Our team culture is fast, hands-on, and obsessed with closing the gap between design and deployment.

As drones transform the character of warfare, Neros is delivering the systems the West needs to compete on the modern battlefield and deter the adversaries of democracy. We’re hiring engineers, operators, and builders who want to move fast, take on extreme ownership, and get capability into the hands of warfighters in months, not years.

What you will be doing

The Supply Chain Logistics Specialist will own day-to-day logistics execution across inbound, outbound, domestic, and international shipments. This person will build reliable shipment tracking, manage freight forwarders and 3PL partners, resolve logistics issues quickly, and create visibility so the supply chain team can make faster decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Own daily logistics execution for inbound supplier shipments, domestic transportation, international freight, and urgent production expedites. Manage freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and 3PL partners to ensure shipments are delivered on time, at the right cost, and with clear shipment visibility
  • Negotiate freight costs, service levels, payment terms, and logistics service agreements with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and 3PL partners to improve cost, delivery performance, and shipment reliability
  • Track shipment status, ETA changes, customs clearance progress, delivery risks, and delayed materials; proactively escalate issues that may impact production or customer commitments
  • Coordinate logistics documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, HTS codes, country of origin information, import/export documentation, and customs clearance requirements
  • Partner with GSMs, Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance to support NPI builds, production ramp-up, supplier transitions, and critical material recovery plans
  • Build scalable logistics processes, reporting tools, and operating rhythms to reduce manual follow-up, improve visibility, and support Neros’ fast-growing production needs

You should have the following

  • 3+ years of logistics, supply chain, transportation, import/export, freight forwarding, or 3PL management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience managing domestic and international shipments, including air, ocean, ground, parcel, and expedited freight
  • Working knowledge of import/export documentation, customs clearance, HTS classification support, country of origin documentation, Incoterms, and freight terms
  • Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, 3PL warehouses, and suppliers to resolve shipment delays and logistics execution issues
  • Strong ability to track multiple shipments, manage changing priorities, and communicate clear updates to cross-functional stakeholders
  • High attention to detail in shipment records, documentation, ETA tracking, cost review, and delivery confirmation
  • Experience supporting production, NPI, or manufacturing operations where logistics delays can directly impact build readiness or customer delivery
  • Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills; ability to build and maintain tracking reports, shipment logs, and basic logistics dashboards
  • Ability to operate with urgency and ownership in an ambiguous, fast-moving startup environment
  • Ability to work onsite in Torrance and collaborate closely with manufacturing, planning, supply chain, and operations teams

Nice to have

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, drones, robotics, electronics manufacturing, automotive, or other hardware high volume production environments
