The Supply Chain/ Logistics Network Planning Manager will support the Network Planning & Optimisation Lead to plan the flow of goods throughout the Waitrose network. In this role you will play a pivotal part in optimising our extensive supply chain network, ensuring exceptional product availability for our customers across all retail channels. A key part of this role will involve making data-driven decisions based on the integrated planning process, business requirements and reporting (e.g. actuals / forecast / plan / budget variances).
This role demands strong leadership, analytical skills and a ‘can-do’ attitude to drive significant change and continuous improvement within our large diverse organisation.
Salary - £53,500 - £80,300
Contract type - This position is a Permanent contract.
Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The team aim for 2 to 3 days per week in the office to connect. There will also be adhoc supply chain visits required as part of this role.

Key responsibilities
Leading the end-to-end planning activities across Waitrose Supply Chain from the Operational Plan, forecast, daily/chamber capacity plans, budgets and resource requirements.
Leading the stock and volume movements and balancing service with cost and efficiency to deliver the right balance of customer proposition, availability, wastage and working capital.
Working closely with Trading, Merchandising, Distribution and Retail to manage conflicting business priorities and make the right decisions for the business as a whole
Essential skills/experience you’ll need
Working in a planning function for complex, Grocery retailer
Managing plans from daily to 18 month time horizon
Providing constructive challenge and facilitating trade offs between competing business priorities
Balancing different needs and mediating where necessary
Experience in budget setting
Stakeholder engagement and management
Proven track record of delivery and data-driven decision-making
Managing large, complex cross-functional teams
Understanding of Merchandising, Finance and Distribution
Leading people through change in retail organisations
Desirable skills/experience you may have
Previous experience of working with a 3PL
Understanding of JDA fulfilment and LDE forecasting systems
