Supply Chain Intern

Give your career a lift! Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc. (HYMH), a world-class manufacturer of industrial forklift trucks, is offering an outstanding internship opportunity for developing and emerging Supply Chain students at our Greenville, NC (Plant) facility. 

We are seeking a detail-oriented, driven, and team-oriented individual who is passionate about supply chain management and ready to contribute to impactful projects. 

As a Supply Chain Intern, you will work on projects such as inventory reduction & optimization and part shortage analysis & root cause investigation. These projects will give you hands-on experience with critical part situations, providing opportunities to learn proper root cause analysis techniques and methods to eliminate problems as they arise.  

The successful Supply Chain Intern will have the following Minimum Qualifications:  

• Current enrollment as a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Industrial 

Distribution & Logistics (IDIS), Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. 

• A willingness and desire to work and learn in a fast-paced environment.  

The ideal Supply Chain Intern will have the following Preferred Qualifications:  

• Experience with SAP. 

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

A HYMH Supply Chain Intern position has the following Key Accountabilities:  

• Analyze inventory levels to identify and implement strategies for inventory reduction and optimization. 

• Develop a solid understanding of the assigned role by engaging in on-the-job training and receiving mentorship. 

• Complete assigned tasks with guidance from your supervisor and team, gaining valuable insight into functional operations, management practices, and leadership strategies. 

• Build technical, managerial, and leadership competencies through hands-on experience and exposure to various assignments, preparing for a successful future as an employee or manager. 

• Actively participate in team projects and contribute to team meetings to support collaboration and achieve project goals.
