The Donaldson internship program provides innovative students with meaningful, hands-on experience in a collaborative industry environment. This internship takes place at our Frankfort, Indiana, Plant during a 10-12-week period during summer 2027. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Frankfort, IN facility. 

As a Supply Chain Intern, you will be part of a team focused on end-to-end supply chain operations – including planning, procurement, production scheduling, logistics, and distribution. You will interact with supply chain leaders, planners, analysts, and cross-functional operations partners, gaining exposure to real-world challenges in global supply networks. Projects may include data analysis, data integrity management, process improvement initiatives, workflow automation, and supporting execution of strategies that further optimize our operations and elevate the service levels to our customers.
Role Responsibilities:

  • Builds expertise for the assigned project or process area and contribute to continuous improvement and optimization efforts.

  • Collaborate with other analysts and planners to provide support on their tasks and projects where necessary.

  • Participates in analyses to support sales and operations planning decisions to ensures availability of raw material and production capacity to meet customer requirements.

  • Conducts root cause analysis and implements corrective actions for process-related concerns.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled junior/3rd year undergraduate in an accredited degree program pursuing a bachelor’s degree in: Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel to perform data analysis and ad-hoc reports including, but not limited to, the following functions: VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP statements, IF/AND/OR statements, TEXT/CONCAT/LEFT/RIGHT statements, Pivot Tables, data visualization and conditional formatting functions

  • Demonstrated interest in data analysis, supply chain, or manufacturing operations, through coursework, projects, or student organizations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) software for data mining, data visualization, and dashboard development

  • Exposure to ERP systems is a plus

  • Previous internship, co-op, or research/relevant experience

  • Minimum 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA
