About the Supply Chain Internship:
Support a fast-paced manufacturing environment by assisting with production planning, scheduling, and inventory management activities. The intern will gain hands-on experience creating and maintaining production schedules for multiple manufacturing assets while balancing changing customer demand, production priorities, material availability, and capacity constraints.
Program structure:
- Schedule: Part-time (15-20 hours/week) during the academic year and full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer.
- Location: Milwaukee, WI
- Start Date: January 2027
- Duration: Year-round internship
What we're looking for:
Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field with current status of at least a sophomore level.
Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Ability to succeed in a team environment.
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Preferred experience:
ERP experience.
Purchasing experience.
Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S tools.
What you'll focus on:
- Monitor production performance, capacity utilization, inventory levels, and raw material availability to help optimize production schedules and support on-time delivery.
- Assist with raw material procurement activities and help manage inventory that supports the manufacturing process.
- Perform routine inventory audits to validate system accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Provide day-to-day support for the Procurement and Planning teams by assisting with ad hoc projects, data analysis, process improvements, and other supply chain initiatives.
