About the Position

Höganäs in North America is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to work at our Johnstown, PA plant.  This position is responsible to receive shipments into the plant and support the company’s supply chain with a focus on logistical and warehouse functions.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coordinates and receives inbound purchased materials, records into

inventory software, and maintains related records.

• Prepares reports and coordinates receiving activities with Accounts Payable.

• Leads unloading of raw materials via rail system and truck shipments.

• Labels incoming materials for inventory system.

• Performs cycle counts on material stored in warehouse.

• Opens and examines inbound containers and conducts pre-loading

inspections of outbound containers.

• Supports the Warehouse Manager in coordinating shipping activities and

assumes responsibilities in their absence.

• Coordinates sampling of raw material for Quality testing.

• Tags, rejects, and contacts Purchasing to return defective material.

• Informs Accounting of raw materials and finished goods inventories for

accuracy.

• Maintains a safe working environment for themselves and others.


Qualified applicants will possess an Associate’s degree and at least one year experience in inventory management or receiving in a manufacturing environment. Attention to detail and good verbal, written and organizational skills are critical. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer are required.
