This role is not a remote opportunity, it is on-site at our Distribution Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Scope:
The Supply Chain Analyst analyzes product delivery or supply chain processes to identify or recommend changes and ensures 100% product availability and on-time delivery rates. This employee will play a pivotal role in shaping supply chain strategy, aid in the continuous growth of the company through demand planning, and optimize customer satisfaction. Your expertise can make a difference.
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
- Develop long term analytical and tactical review of production capacities.
- Interact with other Company departments including production, procurement, customer service, and transportation to resolve supply, demand, material, and capacity disconnects.
- Develop and implement strategies to decrease working capital through inventory reductions and overall product costs.
- Coordinate and implement new item launch strategies across multiple systems
- Coach, mentor or support Production Planning roles
- Optimize demand and supply balance, creating scenarios for decision-making
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Strategic Planning, or related technical area required
- 3-5 years planning experience encompassing demand planning, capacity constraints, MRP preferred
- High level or understanding of planning principles including S&OP, finite capacity modeling, and Master Production Scheduling
- High level of enthusiasm, sense of urgency
- Demonstrated computer literacy including all Microsoft Office products required
- Database query experience
- ERP experience required and SYSPRO knowledge preferred
- Must have demonstrated analytical and math proficiency skills
- Must have demonstrated ability to deal effectively in interpersonal relationships
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to physically perform the functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Must be able to work seated using a computer and phone for long periods of time.
- Must possess visual acuity to document company records
- Continuous walking throughout plant and distribution center.
- Lifting up to 40 pounds
