Supplier Relationship Manager
Salary: From £56,000
Location status: Hybrid Working – 2 days a week in office
Location: Bupa Place, Manchester
Role Type: Fixed Term Contact - 12 months
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

As a Supplier Relationship Manager, you'll play a key role in developing and managing relationships with some of Bupa's most important suppliers. You'll help ensure our suppliers deliver high-quality services, identify opportunities for improvement and innovation, and support Bupa in achieving the best value from its supplier partnerships.
This is an exciting role for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and influencing positive change. You'll work with colleagues and suppliers to improve service performance, manage risk and identify opportunities that benefit both Bupa and our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key strategic suppliers
- Manage supplier performance against agreed service levels and contractual commitments
- Lead regular supplier governance and performance review meetings
- Develop and manage improvement plans where service performance falls below expectations
- Work collaboratively with suppliers to identify innovation, efficiency and value-adding opportunities
- Support the resolution of operational and service issues, ensuring root causes are understood and addressed
- Manage supplier risk and help ensure appropriate controls and mitigations are in place
- Monitor supplier compliance requirements and support adherence to relevant regulatory standards
- Identify opportunities to improve services, reduce risk and enhance value for the business
- Support the successful delivery of supplier-led improvement initiatives and business change activities
- Produce supplier performance reports, dashboards and management information for stakeholders
- Engage and influence internal stakeholders to ensure supplier relationship activities align with business priorities
What We're Looking For
- Experience in supplier relationship management, vendor management, procurement or commercial management
- Proven experience building and managing successful supplier relationships
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to deliver measurable business value
- Experience managing service performance, service reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of contract management principles and supplier governance processes
- Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience analysing and presenting business, financial or performance data
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- A proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions
