As part of our expansion, we are currently looking for a suitably motivated - Supplier Quality Engineer - to join our group.


What you'll do

  • Assess potential suppliers based on quality standards, capabilities, and performance history.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to select suppliers aligned with organizational quality goals.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust quality assurance program for supplierselection, evaluation and monitoring.
  • Define quality requirements, inspection criteria, and acceptance standards.
  • Conduct regular supplier audits to evaluate compliance with quality systems, processes,and specifications.
  • Identify areas for improvement and work with suppliers to address deficiencies.
  • Investigate and resolve quality-related issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier quality.
  • Monitor supplier performance, track metrics, and provide regular reports to management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
  • Implement lean methodologies, Six Sigma principles, and other quality improvement tools.
  • Assess and mitigate risks related to supplier quality.
  • Develop risk mitigation plans and contingency strategies.
  • Work closely with design, engineering, production, and logistics teams to ensureseamless integration of supplier quality processes.
  • Provide training to suppliers on quality standards, processes, and expectations.
  • ●Foster a culture of quality excellence.

Who you are

  • Level 8 Degree in a relevant Quality/Engineering/Science related discipline
  • Proven experience in supplier quality engineering or related roles in a regulatedenvironment.
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background would be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO9001, AS9100, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of Six Sigma, Statistical Analysis and Lean principles to investigate andsolve problems and improve quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment and workunder own initiative to targets and deadlines.
  • Local and international travel is expected for this role (25 - 50%). Candidates must havea current passport with at least 6 months remaining.

What We Do

MBRYONICS designs, engineers, and manufactures optical payloads (optical communications and photonics) and optical ground stations for next generation extremely high throughput hybrid Optical/RF satellite systems, optical mesh networks, optical relays, and autonomous optical sensor networks for high precision space domain awareness.

We specialise in both the design and MAIT of optical and photonics systems for industrialised series production. MBRYONICS is pioneering the use of and industrialisation of FreeForm optics and photonic integrated circuits for space systems, including inter-satellite communications, optical feeder links, intra-satellite communications (analogue/digital) and microwave photonics applications.

We have nearly two decades of experience in research and development on some of the most challenging photonics and optics projects, finding cost effective solutions to new technical challenges. We regularly collaborate and consult with teams that need photonics and optics engineering, design and manufacturing AIT expertise, from early stage path finding to industrial production. Collaborating closely to identify the key problems and opportunities while bringing our years of experience to the table from a multidisciplinary team.
