CDW is looking for a commercially minded Supplier Manager to support the continued growth of our Services business. This is a strategic role focused on developing and managing relationships with key technology, managed services and professional services suppliers to maximise value, performance and long-term partnership success.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and supplier partners, you will be responsible for ensuring suppliers deliver against expectations, driving governance and performance improvements, managing commercial discussions, and helping shape supplier strategy across a growing services portfolio. You will play a key role in strengthening supplier partnerships, driving operational and commercial value, and ensuring our supplier ecosystem supports the continued evolution of CDW's Services business.
This role would suit someone who enjoys building strategic partnerships, influencing senior stakeholders, driving supplier performance and creating tangible business value through strong supplier engagement and governance.
What You Will Do- Own and develop relationships with a portfolio of strategic technology, managed services and professional services suppliers.
- Lead supplier governance activities including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), service reviews, performance discussions and executive governance meetings.
- Monitor and improve supplier performance against agreed KPIs, SLAs and contractual commitments.
- Drive value realisation initiatives, ensuring CDW maximises both commercial and operational benefits from supplier partnerships.
- Proactively identify risks, service issues and improvement opportunities within the supplier landscape.
- Act as the primary escalation point for supplier performance, service delivery and relationship concerns.
- Support supplier strategy development, supplier segmentation and long-term relationship planning.
- Partner with stakeholders across Services, Procurement, Sales, Finance and Operations to align supplier capabilities with business objectives.
- Lead commercial discussions including contract renewals, supplier negotiations, performance improvement plans and service optimisation initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and supplier leadership teams.
- Develop governance frameworks, scorecards, reporting and performance metrics to improve supplier visibility and accountability.
- Support supplier onboarding, transitions and ongoing service delivery management.
- Previous experience in a Supplier Manager, Supplier Relationship Manager, Vendor Manager, Supplier Engagement Manager or similar strategic supplier-focused role.
- Proven experience managing technology, managed services, professional services, outsourcing or cloud service providers.
- Strong understanding of Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) principles and supplier governance best practice.
- Experience leading QBRs, service reviews, governance forums and performance management programmes.
- Demonstrated success managing suppliers against KPIs, SLAs, contractual obligations and business outcomes.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience negotiating contracts, renewals and supplier improvements whilst driving measurable value.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and building trusted relationships both internally and externally.
- Ability to challenge constructively, manage escalations and drive resolution of commercial or operational issues.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret supplier performance data and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Experience working with suppliers across areas such as managed services, professional services, cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, data centre, modern workplace or wider technology services environments.
- Understanding of supplier risk management, operational resilience, business continuity and service continuity planning.
- Ability to operate proactively and strategically, focusing on long-term partnership development rather than day-to-day supplier administration alone.
- Experience within a technology, IT services, MSP, reseller, vendor or wider channel environment would be highly advantageous.
